Flash from Flash
I got the garage wall shelves done!!!!
The gi-normous Christmas tree in its body-bag-looking container is now gone from my dining room floor. WooHOO!!!! Along with it went a good bit of stuff inside and out that we have been tripping over for weeks now…
Right after that wall got rebuilt in January, I got sick for what seemed like at least a month and I just did not feel like dealing with building new shelves out there–especially when the weather got wet and cold! Then it seemed like every time I went to deal with that, something else would jump out and grab my attention. (With my “adult ADD,” it really doesn’t take all that much.) Finally last Wednesday, I went to Lowe’s and got a bunch of the supplies to do the job. Coming home, I got sick again (or maybe still–I’m just not one for taking forever to get over anything) and it just seemed like it was never going to happen! I was bummed, to say the least. At long last, on Friday, I got things started and Saturday, I actually finished the job!
This “adult ADD” thing of mine often gets me into so many things, that hardly anything ever gets finished, so you better know I was really flying high when I started loading up those shelves! I was sooooo excited, it took forEVER to go to sleep last night, which was unfortunate, since that was also the night we “sprung forward” for DST and lost an hour of sleep….
Now Al_son is talking to me about gardens…
Pardon me while I…..
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………

Congrats on getting them done! I have a million things started here and nothing done… I did manage to get the new chair cushions on the dining chairs today, and a couple of pieces of jewelry done… but mostly I have been bouncing between things today! I would so love to have a nice space for storage , but hubby Hogs it all. I am also in awe of your carpentry skills!
Thank you for the encouraging words about my son and his myspace account! I just do not think that kids who are 11 should be posting everything online! I know that in life God has to discipline me, so I know its what must be done. Never fun, never easy (on either of us) but its needed. My hubby feels the same about it which is always good to have both on the same side.
I love that you got shelves up and got some things organized! Its always such a good feeling. Of course having the gi-normous Christmas Tree out of the dining room is always a good thing!!! Makes more room for everyone to enjoy those fancy, yummy meals!!!
Enjoy your Sunday!!!!
I could use some of your energy! Seems kind of hard for me to even get things picked up.
Question… was it hard for something as big as a donkey to get around a body bag in a dining room?
Hope you get to feeling better soon. I am bad about starting things and not finishing them. I admit it, but still do it.
I know the real donkey is small. I was thinking about the donkey on shrek.
uhm…. we all go zzzzzzzzzz when al_son talks!
That’s great that you got the shelves done. I have something similar on my own to-do list, too. We have some shelves in a room in the house that need to be unloaded and moved to the garage, but husband is going to have to first clear out some of his stuff there so that we can move them. I just LOL’d at the term “adult ADD” because I must have it, too. It’s sad to walk into another room for something and constantly forget why I went in there in the first place.
Husband is famous for talking about yard projects and never doing them, so I don’t worry about those too much. Enjoy your Monday!
Speaking of yard projects, I just cleared a bit of land of weeds. If it doesn’t get watered then no more weeds…
Some people try to use attic space to store stuff, but it tends to dry things because it is so hot up there. The basement is also a terrible place to store things when it floods. Finding room to store stuff is a project that is self defeating. By the time you put it somewhere, it is time to find them again…
Howdy… I have a body bag for my tree tooo!.. I’m so excited you got to get those shelves done. I have so many projects going I can’t seem to get any of them done. Plus all the cold weather makes it hard to get anything outdoors finished. It just makes me wanna go do something. wowoww
So when you coming over to my house and cleaning out my garage????????? I have tons of stuff that needs organizing….
The Doctor says I’m ADD but I don’t … Oh there goes a chicken!
I feel your pain.
Feels good to accomplish something you’ve wanted done for a while.
Congrats.
Christy
Congrats on getting the shelves done! Seems to be the time to do house projects. We finally put up a little screen tent gazebo thing on our porch yesterday after having it for 2 years (we had it like a year before we even moved here to Guam)!! LOL Glad you got it done and hope you’re feeling better. If you are really serious about the Adult ADD, Strattera works really well for adults.
Yeah I love that cartoon……Beth was funny….
..So if I shouldnt wait on you to come to my house should I come over and help you out????? I can actually build things and can organize like a wiz.
You have a great one…I am jealous of your projects…….I gootta get off of here for a while and accomplish a few of my own.
I need some adult ADD… really,,, and when Al_son gets done thinking about your gardening send him down to Texas, okay… because I am way overdue.
Hugs, Tricia
