  • Prayer request

EDIT: Thanks for all your prayers for my friend. She has really pitiful health insurance, so she went to one of those “day surgery” places to have it done, then she was at her mom’s for several days until she could care for herself & now after her post op checkup on Friday, she is happy to be home!

I have a Mary Kay friend who had her gall bladder removed today. She is a very positive, upbeat person and she tells me everything will be just fine, not to worry.  She is also facing other challenges in her life right now, which she tells me are “opportunities to gain strength” and I admire her attitude so much. She has always been one of the most encouraging and supportive members of the “MK family” to me, so I just want to return the favor any way I can…

Oh & don’t forget to get your Valentine something special this next week! If you hurry, I might still be able to send a “Pamper me pink” basket to her/him in time…

  • Thoughts and prayers for your friend…

  • We will pray for her!

  • Thanks for your kind words.

We have a family tradition of getting our nuclear family together every two months. Today was the first since mom died suddenly. It was pretty tough.

  • I prayed for your friend’s quick recovery. Did she have her gall bladder out the “easy” way, or the hard way? I also enjoyed reading about your bathroom project. It is a big job! We remodeled our bathroom about seven months before we moved to Denmark! Since my husband did most of the work himself, it was really a L-O-N-G project! We didn’t even get to enjoy it that long! LOL! I did get to visit it while we were home, because my daughter and her husband live in that house now. I still love the colors I chose.   Blessings on your busy week.

  • ryc – Thanks for stopping by and commenting.  Have a wonderful week

  • Huggies to your friend during this rough time……..

Do you sell Mary Kay or just buy it?

  • the Lord will not forsake her

  • Prayers for your friend are forthcoming!

  • The loss of anyone dear is surely difficult. Sorry to hear about your brother. I’m sure that a chunk of your heart was removed that day.

I don’t know, but the UNEXPECTED death is surely hard to deal with.

I have had many, ,many people close to me die in the past…my 19 y/o niece, my 40 y/o brother in law, my 90 something father and mother in law. And, now my mom. Grief and sadness are hard to bear.

Thanks for your understanding and kind words.

  • The last few nights I said 72 prayers, one for each of the special intentions I read on xanga. Tonight I will say at least another two, one for you and one for your friend

  • Some surgeries are necessary. I will research gall bladder surgeries and think about what they mean.

Meanwhile maybe I will accept a challenge to help a family, their son is having difficulties and I told them I should meet him sooner before an emergency. Can I relate to a younger crowd, I don’t know and hope I am prepared to meet the challenges I will face….

I may not be selling MK but the xanga crowd is my family….in a strange way…

  • Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • Hope all went well for your friend.  Maybe after the fact but will still send up one more prayer for her.

    Happy Valentines Day to you.

  • I hope your friend is doing much better by this time.  Your name just popped up in my sub list, so I hope there isn’t a newer post I am missing.

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

  • So glad to hear your friend is on the mend!

  • I think I missed V. day. Oh.. now it is president’s day. Why should they have a day. I think we need a lindaday  or… a  flashday.
