Kidstuff
I have been kinda busy lately, but I am feeling guilty about any dedicated readers I might still have coming to this site to see the same thing day after day, so I thought I would share some ”kidstuff” with you:
Sign of the times?
A little boy goes to his father and asks “Daddy, how was I born?”
The father answers: “Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:…You’ll love this….
“You got Male!’”
WHY GOD CREATED CHILDREN (AND IN THE PROCESS GRANDCHILDREN)
To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or students…here is something to make you chuckle. Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God’s omnipotence did not extend to His own children After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve. And the first thing he said was “DON’T!”“Don’t what?” Adam replied.
“Don’t eat the forbidden fruit.” God said.
“Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!!!!!”
“No Way!”
“Yes way!”
“Do NOT eat the fruit!” said God.
“Why?”
“Because I am your Father and I said so!” God replied, wondering why He hadn’t stopped creation after making the elephants. A few minutes later, God saw His children having an apple break and He was ticked! “Didn’t I tell you not to eat the fruit?” God asked.
“Uh huh,” Adam replied.
“Then why did you?” said the Father.
“I don’t know,” said Eve.
“She started it!” Adam said
“Did not!”
“Did too!”
“DID NOT!”
Having had it with the two of them, God’s punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed…..
BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY! If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven’t taken it, don’t be hard on yourself. If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you?
MORE THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:
1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.2. Grandchildren are God’s reward for not killing your own children.
3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.
4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn’t have said.
5. The main purpose of holding children’s parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.
6. We childproofed our homes but they are still getting in.
ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Be nice to your kids. They will choose your nursing home one day.
AND FINALLY:IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:
“TAKE TWO ASPIRIN” AND “KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN”!!!!!

all of it is sooooo true!
hope you are having a great day !!!
I won’t need a nursing home…my daughter huney_bee (my only child) doesn’t know it yet, but I am going to go live with her in my golden years…LOL…
Love them!!! yeah, I keep threatening 10 that if he insists on spending all my money I will have to go live with him when I am old… he gives me the old fish eye…
My mom has often said she would come live with me if something happens to dad. Guess I better get those spare rooms cleaned up.
Great Kidstuff…
I like the saying… Raising children (mostly teenagers) is like trying to nail jello to a tree.
At one point we made shirts that were interchangeable between the three boys that said…
I don’t know… Not Me… & He did it. They were large enough that they had them for quite a few years.
My daughter told me as long as I could wipe myself…..I could live with her in my golden years. When I can’t do that anymore……I’m being shipped off….lol.
I loved #1. They are all so very true. I am going to burden my children. Paybacks
I love it!!! I laughed at the aspirin instructions!! I think that is true .
Thanks for stopping by. I am always happy to make new friends. I love your kidstuff. Those are soooo good! Thank God my kids are almost grown (19 and almost 21). Now I just have to convince them of that. LOL! ryc: Thanks for the advice. There are some places around here where you can eat healthy. I can’t cook on the stove or in the oven. I have the microwave. I should probably be doing more there than I do. My husband eats a lot and I can’t do a large amount of food in the microwave. But it caused me to think a little more. Thanks for the help. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for coming by! I do write a lot about food, don’t I. Some one asked if I ever cooked… Nope… not much at all, but when and if I do, and if the eaters survive, I might take a picture… before and after.
Thanks for the chuckles! I have to admist, now that my kids are grown, it is much easier to get all nostalgic about those years. I know when I was in the middle of them it was a different story! **Also, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I talked to dad some last night before work. I will be going down to Louisiana to help take care of mom while he has his surgery the end of April. Then I guess I will be trying to arrange more long weekends off. This is not going to set too well with my head nurse.
Kids are so cool!
Are you going to chill and have a relaxing and fun day today?
LOL – Thanks for the giggles I needed that today!!
(((((((((hugs))))))))) Cheryl
I loved it! LOL Thanks for the smiles!

Hope all is well with you!!
Good to see you… how are things going? you haven’t been very chatty lately, I hope it is just the business keeping you hopping and nothing bad!
* big grin *
So what do you think of the Karen Armstong book?
Hey Flash…I was wondering how you are doing?? I do not get around like I should these days,I am sowing seeds and will soon be transplanting the seedlings, thousands of them!! Have a good day Flash, give a hug to Donkey for me!!
I just pinched your @ss!! LOL Well… your Donkey but it’s funnier and more suggestive the other way… hehe
Goodness I resemble that I got male one. I have a housefull of testosterone. I have male in every corner and do my best to keep it undercontrol. It is trying for sure. Goodness the backbone any woman that has to endure when raising a male is hard on her.
We all survived it but we feel older after doing it. I know I do.
Hi… Tude is home… she got home about an hour ago… she’s doing well.
Thank you for coming by!
Great kid stuff….just stopping by to say hello….glad to be back on xanga
RYC I consider your answer quite wise. Everyone is different. I was told not to upset him and give him peaceful thoughts and tread lightly on certain subjects. This subject got under my skin a little. I would of thought with everyone telling me what not to do this didnt sound quite right. I agree that his wishes should be observed wholeheartedly. I know my brother and what he has been through and this just bothers me and would problably bother him and get under his skin. He is a sweetie though and in some respects could handle it but why would you want him to . Either way I needed a fresh perspective on it. Thank you.
I hope your week is starting off well.
why were you up all night?? you should have updated your xanga while you were awake. if you are not going to sleep, i am puttng you on barrel guard duty!! K???
Stopping by with a little Hi
