Snowy day in Austin, TX
This is what things looked like this morning when we woke up:
The back had a bit less, even though the storm came in from that direction
The pink flamingos survived…
and the deck got its usual dusting
There was even snow on the roof!
I thought this would make a neat picture:
Donkeys might be able to build snowmen…
…but they do NOT know how to accessorize!
Hoping all of you get to have some fun today, too!

Glad you enjoyed your snow… if you would like I would be glad to send some of ours your way! LOL
If you’d like to fill up your backyard, I can send you some snow! LOL I’m glad you guys are enjoying the unusual weather for your part of the world! There is no way ours is going to melt anytime soon, and more is expected. Can it be April now?

I’m glad the pink flamingos survived. I like the footprints picture. Just talked to my daughter in Dallas. She thinks she must be in Indiana instead of TX.
Wow! Snow in Texas!
Great pic. love the snow man!!!! We have had a dusting but so far it has missed us!
I am so glad that you are able to get up and out and enjoy it. As much as we are sick of winter here, I know what a treat it is for you there. Snowmen are supposed to have carrot noses… Donkey didn’t eat the snowman’s nose did he? That would be gross!
Did you guys have kids playing on the deserted highway also. Down here in SA is finally got some also.
I have a brother close to Tyler, Texas. They are not prepared for such cold weather. It’s hard on them. They had 8 degrees this week! I like the snow footprints picture too.
I enjoyed the snow throughly in Bastrop,TX
It did snow pretty hard around Tyler, TX (where I moved from) They kept calling me complaining that they couldn’t go out and about and do their errands. One of my friends went to work and now has a totaled truck because his tires lost traction.
he’s perfectly fine though, his show truck is not.
I am glad that one of you two know how to accerise…love the footprint picture…smile
@beadbrat - @Still_groovy - You are both so generous with your snow. Is there any way you coud save it for me until about mid-July when it is 100 degrees with no rain for weeks at a time?
@ata_grandma - Dallas usually gets more of the white stuff than we do, but they do not seem to be any better equipped to deal with it…
@DanishDoll - yes, it does happens every other year or so and if we are lucky, it gives us a bit of a break from our usual workaday world.
@boydcreek - donkey gets most of the credit for the snow man. all i did was give him arms & a hat…
@Aloysius_son - donkey did not eat the snowman’s nose. by the time i remembered that i actually did have some carrots in the veggie bin, the snowman had already melted.
@looking_inside_me - they had the college kids on the ut campus sliding down the hills and the main drag during the wee hours of the morning on the news broadcast–while they were telling everyone NOT to do that sort of thing, of course!
@mcbery - that is my favorite photo of all that i took that day, too. folks in this part of the world are at a bit of a disadvantage when it come to dealing with this kind of weather. up north, it’s a no-brainer when deciding between spending money for snow & ice removal on the roadways or taking a chance on having to shut them down and lose all sorts of tax revenue, but here, it is often a tougher call for municipalities to make…
@ALovingAdversary - glad to hear that everyone got though it ok
@m_elmer_48 - thanks! it’s my fave, too…
The footprints in the snow is so artistic.
snow in texas – wow - We’re forcasted to have freezing rain and snow – doesn’t sound good.

Thank you for sharing this article! I really like it! Because of
their relatively low level of writing. After seeing your article, I tried to
write some of this stuff, I published here, such as Coach Outlet, Coach Outlet Canada and Coach Bags Outlet. Those are
just a large blog, here there are some small blog site, also released a number
